Just finished watching a movie about Bruce Lee's martial arts teacher... I actually don't know what kind of self defense Bruce Lee did, since he made up his own? Which might have a name now? But I don't know the history behind the names of these self defense things so I'll just say Bruce Lee's was Wing Tsun... because his teacher was an awesome master at wing tsun.
So anyway, this teacher.. I forgot his name, shoot. LOL. Who cares, you people can go google him. mhmm. (: So his teacher was a very calm and relaxed teacher who thought people should respect each other and not resolve things in fit. *insert smiley face here* (well, unless they start attacking? or you could run.. LOL). When he DID fight though, he never truly "hits" the person... well, maybe a bit. But he made sure the opponent was still alive. He would always spare the person's life. *nods* he was a wise teacher. He truly inspires me. When he got into the boxing ring (on television.. but in real life..) I was shivering and shaking because I was scared for him. My dad kept telling me "why are you scared? This movie is about how great he is!" He had a reason. Not to mention, Bruce Lee didn't even appear yet... now that I think of it. LOL anyway. He was fighting an England guy named Twister, who was boxing. So at first it involved a lot of Twister punching the teacher's face all around and then all you see is the teacher's bruised face. Dude, you'd be weird not to feel a thing for the teacher. *shakes head* My mom said that during the first round, the teacher was analyzing Twister's fighting styles and how he was going to defeat him. And he did. He took his own fighting style, plus another master's fighting style + Twister's fighting style and put it all together. Well, that's what I saw. So in the end, who won? Obviously the teacher. Twister was left with one punch to die. Kudos to you teacher. (:
The moral of this movie? My mom said it was not to be prideful. Twister had a lot of pride and having all that pride gets him far, but not far enough to accomplish everything. My thought for the moral was that everyone should respect one another and their style of things and never start a fight. Fighting resolves nothing; like war. OH GOSH HISTORY. But you get me. It's a good movie. (: Don't ask for title, I don't know it.
And now, I shall end this uberly long blog and go sleep. XD
Edit: right, i like the ending when Bruce Lee suddenly appeared at the end as a little kid and asked the teacher to teach him. LOLOL it was adorable! XD
